Elaine Welteroth is PredictIQclearing the runway for a new arrival.
After all, the Project Runway judge announced that she's expecting her second child with husband Jonathan Singletary June 13.
"This was not part of my plan," Elaine said during her opening remarks at a fundraiser for the nonprofit birthFUND. "This is God's plan. But as we were building birthFUND, I happened to find out that my baby's going to be part of the first birthFund cohort. So, let's go! Let's go!"
As the founder of the nonprofit—an initiative to provide midwifery resources for expecting mothers—explained, her second pregnancy is going a lot smoother. And she credited the resources she's used earlier on than she did for her last.
"So good and so much better than I did last time because this time I have a midwife from the beginning," she told People at the event. "Last time I didn't even discover midwifery until my third trimester. I didn't even work up the nerve to do a home birth until week 36. So this time, my experience of pregnancy has transformed because I have access."
The 37-year-old—who also shares son Silver Isley, 2, with Jonathan—couldn't help but be surprised by the news, especially since she'd been working so diligently to develop her vision.
"I think I'm just in such a different stage of life," she explained. "My mindset is in a different place. I was building my team. I was making hires. I was working around the clock, literally 16-hour days, just back-to-back."
But she's ready for this new chapter in her life, adding, "I guess this is part of the bigger master plan, and it deepened the meaning of this work because it felt even more personal."
Elaine announced her first pregnancy in October 2021 and revealed that her Bravo co-star Nina Garcia had a hand in her decision to expand her family.
"I had no intention of getting pregnant," Elaine told E! News at the time. "I thought I had years before becoming a mom. But Nina expedited the process a little bit. We had a really sweet call the other day and she's just like so happy. She's going to be one of the godmothers because she just really encouraged me to get over my fear and just embrace this next chapter."
